About Jordana Jaffe

I created Embarkability to help young women create their first business so that they feel empowered, fulfilled and purpose-driven. I started my first business at 24 as a professional organizer, and never imagined that I would be where I am today, but am so grateful that I am. I feel completely passionate about helping other people create their dream lives, and believe that it's something that is available to everyone. On those days when everything seems overwhelming and too much to deal with, I seek comfort in yoga, my journal, and whatever's on my DVR. I was single for 2.5 years and got engaged to my fiance after dating for only 5 months. I believe in the power of positive thinking, the law of attraction, and karma. I've learned that relationships of all kinds need to be nurtured if I want them to grow. I love bringing people together and creating communities. I was born and raised in New York City, but am so ready to move to the suburbs. If I could eat only one thing everyday, it would be ice cream or cheese. That said, I was a vegan for 3 months after watching Food Inc. I am learning to celebrate myself in entirety and accept that I am constant work in progress. And above everything else, I love love.

What Do You Secretly Really Want?

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

I saw this question in one of Danielle LaPorte‘s Daily Truthbombs recently, and in a word, WHOA. It’s a question that we don’t often ask ourselves. What do you want – sure, that might be a question that you ask yourself often (at least I do), but what do you secretly want – that holds a whole… Continue Reading →

Have You Ever Worn Red Lipstick?

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

I don’t know about you, but I’m not a lipstick kinda girl. Or at least I thought I wasn’t – until a few weeks ago, that is. It has always taken me less than 3 minutes to put on makeup – I consider myself girly, but I’m pretty grounded in my girliness –and well, red… Continue Reading →

Stop Letting Money Stop You

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

This week, I want you to write a list. Get out a sheet of paper, and on the top of it, write this: “When I have more money, then I will…” Now, go on, have a party. Let it all out. Let your imagination run wild. I did this exercise a year or so ago… Continue Reading →

You Can’t Make Old Friends

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

This past weekend, I went to one of my dearest friend’s wedding. I met her almost ten years ago when I spent the year after college volunteering in Israel. We became fast friends, best friends. Over the past 8 years, our friendship has weathered a few storms, some more significant than others. And today, we’re… Continue Reading →

When’s The Last Time You *Really* Had Fun?

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

I have something kinda sad to share with you — For a really long time, I wasn’t having a lot of fun in my life – or really any fun at all. The saddest part of this is that I wasn’t even so aware of such a huge loss. I knew that I was leaving… Continue Reading →

The Night I Spent With Taylor Swift!

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

A few weeks ago, I went to a a Taylor Swift concert for my birthday. Actually, I really went because I thought it was an Ed Sheeran concert, but it just so happened that he was opening for the Taylor Swift Red Tour. The concert was wild – it was at the MetLife Stadium in… Continue Reading →

When Sh*t Hits The Fan!

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

If you’re familiar with my work, you’ve probably heard me say (more than once or twice) that there is always a breakdown before the breakthrough. Every single time in my life that was super kick a$$ started out as crappy as they come. I came out after six months of dating an amazing man (and realizing that… Continue Reading →

My Most Fav Spiritual Practices!

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

February was one of the most life-changing months of my life – ever. I made a very big life decision, I helped birth my best friend’s baby, and I hosted my first telesummit ever. Check it out here. And with all changes (whether seen as “good” or “bad”) come the angst of something different and unknown being… Continue Reading →

I Broke Off My Engagement…!

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

I wasn’t sure I would ever write about this. Many people have told me I shouldn’t. And I really thought about it – I wondered if they might be right. But recently there’s been this nudge – this whisper – that’s said, “You just gotta, Jordana. You have to write about this.” Now if you’ve been… Continue Reading →

I Helped Birth A Baby – Here’s What I Learned!

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

One of my best and dearest friends decided last year that she wanted to have a baby on her own. It wasn’t a “my eggs are dying” kinda thing or a “I don’t think I’ll ever meet my person” mindset – she’s 32 and just really wanted to be a mommy. Talk about making things… Continue Reading →

Clarity is Power!

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

You know when you want something to happen in your business, but it’s just not happening? Well I believe that when that happens, it’s happening for one of two reasons. Either (a) you don’t want it badly enough or (b) there’s a part of you that is scared and, as a result, you somehow sabotage… Continue Reading →

If You Plan It, It Will Come!

Jordana Jaffe portrait 052112

Are there certain things you would like to happen in your business, but they haven’t happened YET? You might be frustrated, impatient, and just wondering, WHY? Very often, when things haven’t happened yet, it’s because we haven’t done everything we can do to make these things happen. Have you really done EVERYTHING you can to… Continue Reading →
