In life you are destined to run into dream killers along your journey. Eek! These are those people who always try and discourage you from going after that passion that is igniting within you. Know a few of those? I know I have met plenty of them thus far on my journey! My solution to this problem… run far, far away! It’s easy to fall in the trap and actually begin to doubt your abilities and dreams because of what they are preaching to you, but it’s extremely important to keep on movin’ forward!
When people discourage you, it should be a red flag. When this occurs it’s time to start surrounding yourself with a different crowd. You want to be encompassed by encouragement and wisdom, not those who try and knock you down. Life is too short to NOT be living your dreams, and sadly along the way we will run into those who don’t see our vision. That’s okay, but don’t fall into their negative trap.
Keep taking the train down the path of your dreams! There will definitely be times we fall off track and run into roadblock, but that’s why we have a steering wheel, right? Okay, okay cheesy analogy, but you get my point! Take a new turn in life! The more we experiment in life, the more we can contribute to our own personal evolution. We begin to discover what we like and don’t like in life.
Just because one person doesn’t get your vision doesn’t mean you should come to a screeching halt. In fact, I think these are the moments you should push that much harder to pursue these goals. It’s important in life to carry out your passions and not be stuck by those holding you back. Break through the barriers of ‘normalcy’ and begin to take a couple steps in the direction towards achieving the ‘impossible.’
As Bethenny Frankel often says, “Come from a place of YES!” After reading her book, this really resonated with me. I began to understand the power behind the simple word of ‘yes’ and really began living my life on her motto. By just saying ‘yes,’ it unlocks a powerful amount of opportunity. “No’s” hold us back and just attract a negative energy we as people should just avoid anyway.
When an opportunity arises, I challenge you to accept the offer by saying YES! You may just be surprised by the experience that unravels. I often feel many of us go through life holding ourselves back, but once in a while I think it’s important to let go. Let your crazy side out! Life is too short to not live life to the fullest. Cliché, yes I know, but it is so true!
