There’s this guy at my job that I have “dating” for a few months now, everything seemed to be okay until he started “playing” like he liked my good friend at the job. I decided to brush it off because he seemed really sincere when he said that he was joking, but now I am starting to wonder if he is in fact, really joking. We have been on nice dates, we talk on the phone all night, and he’s my prince charming when we are together. Now though, it seems that he’s becoming my worst nightmare.
He’s always up in my friend’s face laughing, talking, or just standing next to her when we’re working. He noticed that I seemed a bit upset, and he told me that I shouldn’t worry about that because he’s not that kind of guy, and that they just have some special connection because they are closer in age and whatnot. When I confronted my friend about this, she told me that he was just trying to make me jealous, but I feel that as a friend, you are supposed to tell him to back the hell off, but she’s just giggling and flirting right back at him, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!!
I feel so disrespected and uncertain of what to do, and mainly if it’s just me overreacting. By the way, when he told me that he liked my friend, and that she had the sexiest lips and blah blah blah, he seemed pretty darn sincere as well. Please give me some advice, because I am so stuck in a rut, it’s ridiculous. I dread going to work if I have to work with them, and I am tired of it because it genuinely hurts like hell to be treated this way by a guy that said he loved me and once always pulled me behind the cooler to kiss- unless of course my friend was working that day, then I get no love and I was completely ignored!
