“Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.” ~Haruki Murakami
The Single Woman Says:
As much as we say we want to let go of pain…I think sometimes we are guilty of holding onto it because it’s familiar – and even safe. We grow so accustomed to living with heartache and hurt and sadness that the thought of trading it in for the unfamiliar paralyzes us. The thing is though…as long as we cling to the pain, we miss out on everything we are meant to learn FROM the pain. Pain doesn’t just show up in our lives for no reason. It is and always has been a sign that something in our lives needs to change…needs room to grow…needs to be let go of. Without pain, there would be no change. But pain, just like everything in life, is meant to be learned from and then released. The lesson you are meant to learn from letting go of the pain is much greater than whatever caused the pain in the first place.
The time is NOW to release the pain – to learn the lessons so you can reap the blessings. There is so much freedom, power and restoration on the other side of letting go!
