With the uneducated approach to life, we tend to seek outward for things that are within us. Goals, intentions, desires, etc. are all well and good, but if the motive for why we want them goes unexamined, we can keep ourselves in a form of bondage.
One of the great mistakes is living life as an “If, then” statement. “If I get X, then I’ll be happy.” The goal is to be happy now.
So are you happy now? And if not, why not?
We need goals, intentions and desires to live and to grow. BUT – when we need goals, intentions and desires to be our source of happiness, we get into a lot of trouble.
The way to figure out our motive is to ask, “Once I get X, what do I think I will feel?”
So, “Once I get the relationship, I think I will feel whole” – for example. If this were how you viewed the world, it would be a major set up for PAIN.
Instead, we want to get to a place of “I have everything I need and have a positive expectation for what’s to come.”
NOTHING CAN COMPLETE YOU EXCEPT YOUR OWN SELF-APPROVAL AND THE LOVE OF THE UNI-VERSE.
Everything else will leave you wanting more.
So, what’s next?
What in your life have you made more important than your own approval? What in life have you made more important than living your purpose? What in your life have you made more important than being happy? Where have you settled and why?
What OUTER THING do you think is more important than trusting yourself? A person? A parent? A material possession?
How can you flip the script and make living a self-approved life the life you are living? Can you see that you are already whole and need nothing other than to give your gifts and allow the perfect situations, circumstances and moments to manifest in perfect order?
Can you stop chasing and start BEING the LOVE and JOY that you seek outwardly?
