I’m gonna sound cheesy but … When I’m stuck in a rut, I watch more Marie Forleo videos. There’s some good wisdom in all those vids ! Always help me work the next few days!

I usually watch Oprah (Super Soul Sundays or Lifeclass) or The Hip-Hop Preacher, Eric Thomas….I think that’s his name. I also like Wayne Dwyer and Deepak Chopra. Currently I’m trying Chopra’s 21 Day Meditation to connect with abundance….I really want to change my life. I hope this helps.

When I’m stuck in a rut I literally stand on my head. Going up side down gives me a rush, gives me clarity and a new perspective. Then I just sit my butt down and start typing. At some point I hit that a ha moment that will move me into action.

Having all the tools and knowing all the things I need to do and how to utilize them but just not having the motivation to do them.  Sitting at home saying I should be writing in my journal or I should be meditating, but just thinking about it and not doing it.  I have set alerts in my phone and alarms and all and I just cant get the motivation to follow through except when I am in a crisis… 🙁

  • When I’m stuck in a rut I usually take a break and meditate, go for a run or do yoga to clear my head and refocus. I come back to my work with new clarity..or if not clarity, then at least the openness to be in the flow with my work and really embrace what I’m doing.

When I’m stuck I sometimes take a catnap, which acts like a little meditation session.  It gives my brain and body a chance to refresh and really helps me to let go of anything negative I’m carrying around.  I almost always feel more relaxed and clear afterwards.

I know this all too well! Going through the exact situation currently but only more intense. I left a job several months back that was completely toxic for me but have not since been able to parlay my skills into a new field. Now, being stuck in a rut has become the least of my problems, combined with anxiety, fear, increasing debt, confusion and depression. First time in my life I felt so defeated.

Well ive been totally stuck in a rut for a while now, however: i keep trying to find things to keep me motivated. I love your quote about “losers wait for motivation, winners just get shit done.” And it just reconfirmed my thoughts that ive been having for the past few days, i started the beginning of the year saying that everything i start i was gonna finish and just had the realization a few days ago that i was 7 projects behind smh. Anywhos i’m no longer trying to get motivated and just get it done so this video just confirmed it. Thanks for the video and i enjoyed watching you on super soul Sunday!

How do you get clear on what is exatly is that you want? I am very confused, I cannot figure that out for sure and I do not know how.

  • Great tips, will need to keep those in mind! I find that travelling or doing something new also helps because it gets you out of that ‘down’ zone and also gives me inspiration and creativity to do the day to day things
