Living with gratitude is one of the most important lessons for all of us as human beings to comprehend and carry out. As we go through our days we are often faced with negative situations that drive us down. Down that path that zaps our inner happiness. In these moments be thankful.
As hard as this will be, you will soon see the outcome unraveling in your life. The more we appreciate and ‘thank’, the more love and positivity we attract.
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” – Oprah Winfrey
Each morning I wake up and think in my head what I am thankful for. Some days are easier than others, but as Oprah always says,” If you can’t think of anything you are thankful for, thank your breath.”
“Gratitude opens up the door to abundance consciousness.” ~ Deepak Chopra
When I heard this I had an a-ha moment. Appreciate the things and people around you. With this practice you will literally begin to attract positive vibrations. Stop focusing on the ‘don’ts,’ ‘nots’ and ‘no’s’ and instead begin to thank these moments.
As you go through your day, thank even the simple pleasures that surround you. The mentality of living your life through gratitude will help shift your thinking to the abundance that is already around. Each day we are living on this beautiful planet is truly a gift.
“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” ~ Albert Schweitzer
People always ask me, “Are you really thankful for everything that comes your way?” My answer is quite simple. Yes. Instead of focusing on the bad, I try and embrace it as my journey and celebrate the fact it makes me stronger.
I didn’t come out to my family until I was 20 years old. I harbored away a dark secret for years, which ate at me everyday. As hard as this was, I would not change a thing. This is my journey and I am the person I am today because of it. Struggling with finding the courage to come out was one of the most harrowing experiences I have ever had to do but I am thankful for it.
My struggle empowered me to turn this pain into wisdom and passion. It has embedded strength within me to share my story and strive for my successes. So, join me in living a life of gratitude.
Sending you love,
