Visual Inspiration: Give and Forgive!

`VISUALINSPIRATION

  • Bobbie Kingsbury

What you said in the blog really resonated with me. “It’s easy for me to give love. Giving is power”.  Letting love in means giving up some power and becoming vulnerable. I never thought of it that way until it was written in black and white. I have lots of love around me. Love for my friends and my kids. I feel like I give love all the time. Yet I never let love in – not romantic love anyway. I am always putting up walls to keep people out so I don’t have to get hurt again, feel suffocated and stifled again. I never fear giving love to friends, family or community but I never saw that as a sign of power and control until today. Thank you.

Vulnerability. It’s one of those words we shy away from but I’ve found a freedom lately to embrace it especially in romantic relationships; it endears us to the possesser. Let us love one another is saying nothing other than let’s forgive and move past this to wholeness and freedom.  “Let us love one another.”
